The distance between these bands is often very regular (this differs from Sapele to Sipo) and ranges from very narrow (often in Nigeria Sapele) to fairly broad (eg. Aboudikro). By defects in the wire direction sometimes beautiful figurations arise known under names like moiré, quilted, etc..
